Caves – Bugio Path (Eldorado)
Departing to PEJ (Parque Estadual Jacupiranga) and the trekking through Bugio path is done in an approximately 5 km walking, and goes through Araçá Fall and Rolado III and II Grottos. During the way the visitors can observe several steps of the forest formation that are from regeneration forest to primary one, or virgin, having many trees’ species from the Atlantic forest. There is water in abundance in all the path extension that goes through Ribeirão do Araçá Valley until the entrance of Rolado III Grotto, and also to Tapagem stream after the exit of Rolado II Grotto. Crossing these two caves is the most important spot of the itinerary. These caves are kept on their natural way without any human touch. Visitors must wear helmets and safety equipment and the illumination is done with the use of flashlights and acetylene gas reactors, produced by the reaction of carburet in contact with the water.
Devil’s Cave (Eldorado)
It was officially discovered in 1886 by Richard Krone, a German researcher and naturalist, the Tapagem Grotto, or Caverna do Diabo, is one of the most beautiful caves of the world opened for visitation. It is the biggest cave from São Paulo estate, having almost 8 km of mapped galleries. There are 700 meters inside the cave with infrastructure for the visitors such as stairs, illumination and footbridge. This structure gives more safety and comfort to the visitors that can easily observe and identify the different types of espeleothems that are found in a calcarium cave. Stalactites, stalagmites, columns, candles, towers, helectites and curtains that are some examples of calcium carbonate formations.
Caves – PETAR (Santana and Laje Branca Caves) (Iporanga)
Destination: Santana and Laje Branca Caves.Santana Cave, one of the most beautiful caves, belongs to Iporanga city, having rare beauty and complex formations. Transparent water crosses and contributes to the ornamentation and activity process. Following we go to Lajeado Path. The wall from Laje Branca is a huge calcarium wall in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. The entrance of Laje Branca cave is found on the basis of this wall. Having 130 meters high, this entrance impresses everyone. Inside, we will find giant rooms and huge dunes.
Water Trekking – Vale das Ostras Path with Cascading
Destination: Vale das Ostras, that is formed by a stream that has the same name Vales das Ostras stream which crosses Caverno do Diabo. After going through different kinds of geographical grounds this stream lies on Ribeira river, and forms more than 10 falls that are different in size and forms. The Ostras path goes along this way of 3,8 km arriving at the spot of this itinerary Queda de Meu Deus, a 53 meters fall. Beyond the observation of several nature aspects, the visitor can enjoy moments of intense touch of the nature, diving and swimming in several parts of the stream. You can not miss the CASCADING (Rappel in a fall).
Duck through Betary River – In PETAR, going down the flow of the Betary River Birthplace of the acqua-ride, now the adventure is different with the duck stability, inflatable duck for two people. In the transparent water and the fantastic flow from Betary River; these ingredients make a pleasant and great beauty scenic ride. Jambeiro fall is another emotion.
Day Camp Visit to Fazenda Boa esperança (farm) where we can have the opportunity to learn about country life. The horseback riding goes through several paths of the farm and it is always guided by experienced people that work daily on the field, it takes about 2 hours. The environment is good for us to understand rural Brazil and part of the products that we consume as well as simple people’s daily lives.
Overlook Path (Eldorado)
The Cruzeiro Overlook is a 510 meters high mountain where it is possible, when the weather is not cloudy, to see the sea (70km far), the whole city of Eldorado and other cities from the valley. To get to the top you walk approximately 1,5 km having high inclination parts. The top is opened almost without vegetation and exposed rocks that facilitate the landscape visualization. Rappel is done in a 20 m wall with a different feeling if the activity is done at night.
Acquaride Batatal River (Eldorado)
Get to know a little about Brazilian history , in this region Lamarca Capitan hid himself when the army chased him during the dictator period . Batatal river , clean water, presents parts with high flow and tight turns. Acquaride is a great adventure . Its swimming pools and forest create a magical environment . The river has hot water and the green well is outstanding.
Atlantic Forest Expedition
Fantastic itinerary is one of the most preserved rivers from Vale do Ribeira, the Pilões river. Around this river we can find primary forest, palm heart, shoals are always swimming under the boat and the water is 3 m transparent. We will have 5 hour of oaring in a duck, inflatable duck for two people, going through small flows and big reverses. A delicious snack waits the visitors during the ride. Moments for reflections about fighting history and conquests for the slaves in the Quilombolas communities. During the way we pass through Sapatu, André Lopes, Nhunguara, Pilões, Galvão and Ivaporunduva Quilombos (place where the slaves used the hide themselves from their owners).
